In short
- According to Riot, cash codes (prepaid cards and codes) add game currency such as VP or RP; streamer and event codes are content codes and do not add VP.
- Only enter your Riot password at authenticate.riotgames.com; according to Riot, Riot never asks for your password.
- VP without paying: complete tasks paid for by advertisers, convert the GG you collect into a Turkey-region VP code and redeem it in the Valorant client.
There is no generator, hack or site that gives free Valorant VP: VP reaches an account through Riot's store and the prepaid codes Riot calls "cash codes". The free codes Riot hands out via streamers and events unlock a specific item, not VP. The real way to VP without paying is to exchange rewards-app points for a VP code; in GiftGame those points accumulate as GG.
Riot's two kinds of codes
This is where the confusion around "free VP codes" comes from. Riot Games' support page defines two separate kinds of codes:
| Cash code | Content code | |
|---|---|---|
| What it gives | Game currency such as VP or RP | A specific item, for example a Valorant gun buddy, an icon or a skin |
| Where it comes from | According to Riot, physical stores and online retailers | According to Riot, usually streamers, events and promotions |
| Region | Only works in the region where it was purchased | Usually works across regions |
| Use | One code, one game, one go; it cannot be split | Single use; if you already own the item you do not get a copy |
So the free codes Riot hands out are real, but they give content, not VP. Most strings listed online as "free VP codes" are either expired content codes or codes that never existed.
VP generators and "account sharing" offers
VP is a balance kept on Riot's servers; a web page or a downloaded program cannot create it out of nothing. "VP generator" pages usually ask you to log in with your Riot account first. Riot's account security page is clear about this: never log in with your Riot credentials on any site other than authenticate.riotgames.com, and if anyone asks for your account information, do not give it, because Riot already has access to your account and never asks for your password.
The real way: do tasks, collect GG, convert to a VP code
Someone has to pay for the VP. In rewards apps the advertiser pays: a game studio pays to win new players, a research company pays for survey answers; you complete the task and the app passes your share on as points. In GiftGame:
- Install the app and create an account.
- Choose from game and app tasks on the offerwalls, market research surveys in the survey section, mini games, the wheel or the daily reward.
- Meet the task's condition; once the partner reports it, the GG is credited to your balance.
- Pick the Valorant VP reward from the catalog; the GG is deducted and your request goes for approval.
- After approval the code arrives as a message in your in-app inbox; in your web account it opens with "Show code".
How tasks work is explained in earning game codes by completing tasks, and every way to earn is in how to earn GG.
Redeem the VP code
The Valorant flow from Riot's support page (detailed guide):
- Log in to the Valorant client on PC.
- Click the Valorant icon next to your VP balance at the top right.
- Choose the Prepaid Cards & Codes tab and enter the code exactly, without spaces.
- In some regions, tick the consent box, then press Submit.
According to Riot, cash codes only work in the region where they were purchased; the VP code in GiftGame is for the Turkey region. If your account is in another region the code will not work, so check your region before choosing the reward. Riot says VP usually arrives instantly and sometimes within a day.
Why "free" but not "instant"
| Expectation | Reality |
|---|---|
| "Click and VP appears" | Tasks take time; partner reports range from minutes to days. |
| "The streamer's code gives VP" | According to Riot, streamer and event codes are content codes and do not add VP. |
| "A VP code that works in every region" | According to Riot, cash codes are region-locked. |
| "If I hand over my account they will add VP" | According to Riot, account sharing breaks the rules; you can lose the account. |
For messages asking for your code or account see the safety guide, and for other questions the FAQ. Codes for other games are covered in how to get free game codes.

Do the codes streamers hand out give VP?
No. According to Riot, streamer, event and promotion codes are content codes that unlock a specific item such as a gun buddy, an icon or a skin. Only cash codes add VP.
How do I get VP without paying?
By completing tasks and surveys paid for by advertisers and converting the points into a VP code. In GiftGame those points accumulate as GG; after approval the code arrives in your inbox and is redeemed in the Valorant client.
